GETTING STARTED
Every book we publish is unique in content and design. We must see your manuscript in order to estimate the cost to publish it, or determine its acceptability for our programs. We ask that you submit a hard copy (not your original manuscript) to us with a completed Specifications Form so we can properly evaluate your work. This in no way compromises your right to copyright protection. You should also send along copies of the artwork you wish to use or suggestions about the types of artwork you want our designers to produce for you. |
The cost of publishing your work is based on the following variables:
Send us a full, printed copy of your manuscript and a completed Specifications Form today. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you want your manuscript returned. Receipt of every manuscript sent to us is promptly acknowledged. We will give it a fair and unbiased reading and, after discussion among our editors, will reply to you within two to four weeks. "For a long time, we planned to publish a Turner family book. We were concerned about the details, the cost, and having it turn out well. We came to your company. You guided us, encouraged us, and helped us put it all together. We now have a family book that gives us much satisfaction and enjoyment. We thank you!"

| A Word of Caution |
Do not be fooled by unsubstantiated promises of sales from other companies
wanting to print your work. No one can predict how your book will sell. Like you, we hope
that impressive sales will result from our promotional efforts. Our marketing and sales
programs are as professional as you will find anywhere in the industry. Although there are
certainly success stories, these are rare, and most books do not sell as well as their
authors or publishers hope they will. We have found that nonfiction, how-to, and religious
books usually generate more sales than fiction or poetry (although there are certainly
exceptions).
Your enthusiasm about getting your book published is commendable. However, you should be aware that this is a highly competetive market and nearly every author has a greater expectation of sales than usually results. You must remain realisticpublishing has its risks. Do not, by any means, jeopardize your financial security in the expectation of sales. You should rather measure your rewards in terms of the personal satisfaction that you receive from becoming a published author with a beautiful book in print. |
